*Sigh*

My first car was a silver mk3 2000E cortina with a vinyl roof. I loved that car.

Rare as hens teeth now. Last one i saw was around £8K :eek::eek:

If you get one, please post a pic (for the young 'uns if nothing else :D)

Goes off in a happy daydream....

I wonder why he says easy restoration as all the hard work is done, surely if it was easy to finish he would and get more money for it :rolleyes:

Kram you will be jealous...

I went to the Classic Car Show at the NEC birmingham today... and I chatted to the owner of, and he gave me permission to sit in....

his gorgeous 1974 Mark 3 2000E Cortina. Auto box with a sun roof and it still has the plastic wrappings on the door cards

He reckons a good one now can be had for 5 grand or less.:D

Wow, I saw De Loreans, Rollers, Stags, Ferraris, Mustangs, a 57 Chevy, GT40s, Stingrays, the works.... but sitting in that Cortina really made my day.

I saw a mk1 last week, and it obviously hadn't been restored, it was still running under it's original guise I reckon:eek:

Bit disappointing on the Landy front. The Series 1 club was there as was ex military and the RR Register. That was it :( and nothing landy in the auto jumble either :(:(

GT6 -- Automotive pornography mmmm. I always wanted one of those. Poor mans' E-type.

My first car was a Hillman Imp (don't laugh). I nearly bought one for £1,000 the other week but SWMBO said NO

You can probably get about 3 excellent cond. GT6s for the price of an average cond. E-Type  Good thing i prefer GT6s isn't it:D, i wouldn't mind the v12 though. If you want a GT6, you have to get in line behind me unless you want a mk3 ;)
