Hi all, it's been a while since i have posted however, didn't have a Landie and missing them.
All my life i have been with landrovers and when i was about seven i remeber my dad pulling a bogged tractor from the middle of a field, he tied the rear of the vehicle around a tree and had a capsan winch on the front, he used it alot also in the forestry business. I bought my first landrover at the age of 14, a 1958 series 2 with a Perkins 4203 diesel engine, and started to strip it down, however sold the engine for more than what i bought it for. Then i was 16 and i went away for a couple of weeks to return to my dad who had bought me a 1965 series 2a with a london taxi engine in it. Then up graded to a series 3 hard top then an ex army 24 FFR 1984 series 3, which had arrived back from the gulf and purchased from Foley specialists. A very good vehicle and excellent service from Foley's.
Three series land rovers later, my family and I emmigrated to Oz in 2006, well bought a 300Tdi discovery, which wasn't up to the mark and put me off Land rovers for a couple of years.
However the fever is back after reading numerous Landrover mags and forums and recently purchased a 1993 200 Tdi defender 110 with aircon and full service history and recent engine rebuild by Landrover. I bought it for $4,000 and spent $1000 on it to get it road worthy and tested. A sum of $5,000.00 or about 2,000 pounds.
Its like a cult driving here as every defender owner greets other defender owners.
I love driving my 110 and glad to be back in a Landrover as there is nothing like them.

:D here it is!
