using my spare disco rim and a r/rover rim which is the tallest profile I can put on to give me the most height.????????
I use A/T;s normal but on the gap run this weekend. (our leader Rob 109) had very tall mud pluggers on. they really improved his groud clearance!!!!.(I thought he had 2in lift suspension)
Intend to put them on the rear keeping a/t on front.
any advice welcome,

you best post some pics of the days laning mate, im chomping at the bit here!! never been there so am very curious:yay: on the tyre issue, make sure that whatever tyres you fit that they have the same rolling circumference all round. this is to prevent transmission wind up.

Interesting imfo.
does anybody know if I use a different size tyres on the back to the front. If in fact it will wind up the transmission when diff lock engaged,
has anybody experienced the use of larger profile tyres on the back of a disco.??

Do a search in the Disco Forum for tyres and there should be some links in some of the threads to a site that lists all the tyre sizes that will fit the Disco and what alterations are needed.

Thanks for the compliment about the 2" lift, my wife is disputing it! As for the truck....
Its got 235/85x16s on which will probably fit and clear the arches on your disco too.
I think the other contributing factor to the raised look is the 'high-rise block of flats' on the back. I'm currently renting out to 30 illegal immigrants.

Get a second set of rims, say some old rangie rostyles and get a set of mud plugging tyres for weekend play. You won't regret it.

Rob,
Yes they are air bags. Called polyair in oz. Just pump them up when required to carry that heavy load and run about 5 psi when the car is empty. I have had them for 8 year and never had a prob.
Cheers

Go onto Simmonites Site (http://www.simmonites.co.uk/) and click the "Suspension" link.
