Disco 1 car wash/ aerials.

Hi, all.

I could do with giving the Disco a quick wash, and as I need to go to the garage for air and fuel, I am considering using the car wash.

My only concern is that I have a little aerial on the passenger side roof window (Alpine) at the back. This looks solid enough, but my question is, what does it do? When I turn my radio on, the electric aerial raises from the wing, is this other aerial surplus?

Part of a mobile phone car kit so doesn't do a thing unless a mobile phone is connected or it's for a satnav may be.
Is is surplus? you tell me.

No satnav or 'phone, so must be surplus. That is good. If I don't get any negative advice regarding using the car wash, at least I don't need to wory about the surplus aerial.
