discovery problem

Having just bought a second hand td5 xs, having minor problems with the electrics, after starting up ,the radio and wipers dont work straight away, it may be that the battery is on its way out ? or something more serious??? Can anyone shed some light on this?:(

If the engine is running then the alternator will be providing the power so it's not your batttery.

You will need to check the wiring and earth connections first then take it from there, and speak to the person you bought your disco from about the problem.

;) Check the strength of your headlights with engine running on tickover, watch if they dim - if not, your battery is ok. Sounds more like minor electrical fault, maybe a relay on way out?
