Hi folks,

Does anybody know where the choke cable should connect to at the engine end. It's a 93 MPI 2.0 petrol that has a manual choke pull just to the right of the centre console but it is snapped off about 6" after it comes through the bulkhead and I cannot find either another part of the cable or a place on the inlet maniold M(or wherever) to connect to.

Thanks chaps,

Steve

I would guess it goes to the throttle body. Follow the air intake piping and you should locate the throttle body.

Didn't know there were any MPI's left :)

Yep, it doesn't have one, it's Multi Point Injection, all electronic control.
Someone didn't make a hand throttle for some reason did they? Cheap cruise control...

Yep that's why I was confused, but it's there!

Maybe somebody put it on as a 'fast idle' for a PTO or something :Idunno: - anyway it starts and runs as sweet as a nut without it so I'll just pull it out and pretend even though it's not connected.
