:Dhi everyone ,engineer as been back today and fitted the fuel pump in the fuel tank.of my td5 missfiring engine. well if going by the difference I can feel in the car when driving it now. It appears to be running fine now will know better in the morning as the symtoms of the missfire was really bad first thing in a morning. He fitted the part at 11.00 am and I left work at 5.30 pm.No sign of a misfire yet so hopefully all done.
so there we go we can add fuel pump to listed of potential problems for a missfiring td5 engine.
engineer did check harness and pointed out the signs of oil draining down to ICU. I will post full sytoms and how he tested the engine a little later today.just had to come on and let you all know how happy I am that is not anything more serious.
