heated windscreen

HI Folks,
Not had disco 2001 for very long, sorted engine problem and can drive it now. Anyway the car has a heated windscreen fitted, I can see the elements, however there is no switch on the dash board, there is on for the rear.
How difficult is it to sort a supply and switsh etc to get the wind screen working?

You may well have wiring behind panel ! part number for the heated front screen switch is YUG102550 £5.53 ! I hope this helps

do you not have a switch on your heater panel that puts the heated screen on at the same time as the demister blower ?
when I press the quick clear switch the blower comes on to the screen and the heated element comes on automatically :)

Hmmm, I dont know it might come on at the same time, Ill try it and let you know, as its -4 at the moment should be easy to test. Thanks!

Hi no the wind screen heater dosent work if you turn the fan on full and swith to 'screen' setting.
It only de-mists from the bottom via the blower.
