I know we,re in a period of economical turmoil , and I dont expect everybody to be as happy but - I,m the proud owner of a 2001 TD5 - with the governments little concessions over the huge increases which were proposed , added to the fact we had quite a few inches of the white stuff last weekend , and the fact the cars had a few wee niggles recently ( its a landy ! ) - I just want to share the fact is I,m happy and the old disco is here to stay !!
Feel free to share in my happiness - DONT burst my bubble please !!

I'll second that. It's the uninitiated and easily led lot, that jump on the bandwagon all too easily to give owners of such vehicles a bad reputation.
Scout around for further details to show how beneficial to the environment owning one for longer than you would a "eurobox" is.
I have had permission from the Mrs to get a newer vehicle, but my 2000MY Td5 with just over 100,000 miles is staying. The intention being to get at least another 50,000 before even thinking of a change.
As for the tax. In the end, it will still be cheaper than losing out somehow on the trade in or private sale.
