Here's a pic of another of my motors.
It's a 1949 Dodge Special Deluxe Sedan.

I've got 13.
Unlucky indeed. The Stage1 was the 13th. It's alot more rusty chassis wise than it's looks suggest.
My list is here somewhere, http://www.landrovernet.com/showthread.php?threadid=11144&pagenumber=2
The Dodge was built in 1949 in Windsor, Ontario.
It's got a 218ci (3572cc) inline flathead 6 cyl. with a 3spd. manual, column change.
It's a nice drive going down the highway. Cruises at around 60mph, but handles like a water bed!

Very nice, but I'd prefer a 1969 Dodge (Charger 440R/T)

Ah yes, but it's got to be painted black (assasins car in 'Bullitt')
or 'Hugger Orange' and have a hot-panted babe in the passenger seat.

The closest I've got so far is a 1/18th scale die-cast version.

I do understand there's a real one with the full 'Dukes' decorations driving around Derby

If the General Lee wasn't in that picture it would look very real! You could have put "here's my 110 wading along a dried out river bed in africa".. looks very convincing!

Somehow I think the kerbstone would look a bit out of place in Africa.

But, if the General was leaping through the air across the dried up creek bed..........

Swag, your Dodge is a real beauty!
Those years were the best when it comes to styling (to American standards), before the exorbitant fifties and sixties.
Of course the flathead sidevalve askes for a different drivingstyle, but who cares?
And at last: there is nothing wrong with a waterbed!
