has anyone veiws on whether running on Producer Gas would be legal

see http://www.angelfire.com/ak5/energy21/woodfire.htm

it has been used in england during WWii to run buses and lorries see photo

its seems quite a simple system..heat a combustable material in limited oxygen and add water and scrub the C02 and tars out + cool then equal hydrogen

C + (0)2 = c02. C02+C =2C0, C0 +H20= H2 +C02

Im seriously thinking of having a go at this when I sort out my workshop (in the process of building one from the ground up using some trees I felled in the garden).....

There are a few petrol engines about at home here which I might try it on.

Did you see these guys?
