I decided to join this community because I need help with my 300tdi from time to time. I'm an ex pat living in the Czech republic and getting advice from the locals is not easy. I served 9 years in the British infantry in NI, Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa etc and have really experienced these vehicles working the way they should and the yanks can stick there hummers where the sun don't shine as far as im concerned. I put a post up asking for reference to any materials to do with stripping my rover down so I can start to restore my motor! So far no one has replied and I thought I should try again in another way. I want to do it all myself or rather with as little help as possible.
In effect I am looking for simple instructions to dismantle and repair the bodywork as the chassis and the mechanical parts are pretty sound. Is it just a case of unbolting it and lifting it off? and is there any definate no no's in doing so?
