IT'S NOT MUCH BUT WE DO LOVE OUR NEW VAN, EASY TO SEE IN THE DARK FOR OTHER DRIVERS, REASONABLE ON REVERSING, CHEAP TO FIT OUT AND LOOKS COOL TOO!!
BELOW YOU CAN SEE WILL AND ALEX GIVING THE NEW CARAVAN A TEST BEFORE WE SET OFF FOR OUR EXPEDITION. THEY SAID IT WAS 'A BIT WINDY' BUT OTHERWISE LOVED IT.

At least there's no danger of breaking the 85%rule.
I bet it's nigh on impossible to reverse though & just where do you get an awning for it?

If you're new to caravanning.............this is very important!!!!
The maximum weight of your loaded caravan should not exceed 85% of the weight of your unloaded car. This is for safety's sake, for beginners.
With your station wagon you can tow just about the largest (legal) touring van and still be within the 85% rule.:p
I hope the explanation is clearer than mud,to you.:cool8:

I must add one comment though 'Evo', your tow vehicle is much, much nicer than mine.

Thank you BTM.
Did anyone spot the number plate error? I only borrowed the trailer for a dat and couldn't be bothered to get a plate done!
As for reversing? Yes it is almost impossible, the trailer is so small and short that it tends to go full over with the slightest move of the wheel. Also apart from that time in the photo i cannot even see the trailer moost of the time. We will be moved into our new house (not the one on the trailer, the one behind it) by next week so the tiny tin trailer can go back home!

Just to be a stickler for a minute .. it's not a law, this is a guideline for safetys sake as recommended by most associations for beginners. The Law is the maximum towing limit quoted by the manufacturer, which in the case of almost all Landys is enormous !
Even the Freeloader is two tonnes despite weighing in just over 1500Kg on its own. Our van is around 1300Kg fully laden (87%) and I've towed a car trailer with a 1500Kg car on it - the difference is very noticeable, and definately not for the inexperienced !
