My TD5 has a little problem which in this weather is a bit difficult cleaning the screens. At the front the wash system doesn't work, wipers work correctly. Also the wash at the rear doesn't work. Could it be that all wash pump have failed at the same time? All fuses are ok, I want to check the relays but can't find which relays to check, even the Haynes manual doesn't tell me which should be the relays?
Are the relays the best to check or should I consider to check the switch in the handle(s).
Thanks,
Paul

Ok obvious question for this one - when you press the washer button (try it with the engine turned off but with electrics on) can you hear a noise from the pump?

Chances are that the bottle, or pipes are frozen.....

No, I can't hear the pumps running, that;s the reason I looking for a relay or sometime like that to be the problem, because the fuses are all ok.

Ron,
Altough it is about freezing point temp's in Holland at the moment there is 6 ltr's of antifreece in the tank so it's almost impossible that this, the pipes or the pumps are frozen. I was working on replacing the rock cover and harness today and the Disco was in my warm work place so would it have been froozen it would be normal after that.

The pump is easy to get to behind the nsf wheel arch just a few screws pull it back and pull the connector off see if there is power there when the switch is pressed if so then the pump is knackered same for the rear.Lawson

Thanks, I looked under the front and saw the pumps, now I know how to get to them for testing I'll get to this tomorrow and see what it does.
