off road wheels tyres

Hi all my new (ish) disco2 came with what i think are RR 20" wheels and Michelin scorpion tyres fitted.
I would like to try off roading this car but am not sure how serious i can get on this setup.
What would be the best wheel size tyre combi to put on this car for a relativly new off roader?

The overall advice would be 'more rubber, less alloy', don't expect a comfy ride on two inches high rubber... As whats with later Discos and water - a guy in Latvia tried his all new shiny Disco 3, how deep it can go, of course equipped with snorkel. Once the bonnet was under water the car died, almost all electronic systems were dead, he spent about 5-6k UKP for repairs. So don't go too deep with ECUs and a lot of electronics.
