Ive had enough of my disco's steering wheel. It's massive... and going from lock to lock while either on or offroad is a massive task.

Some of lads I go offroading with have got some cracking steering wheels in there 90's, old style. Something like this one

Im after something of similar size, does anybody have a non standard steering wheel in their discovery? Or know what fits?
If I cant find anything I'm goin to go for and 'es' discovery wheel... just to reduce the size. The missus is only 4'8" and she can't get close enough to the pedals:biggrin:

Any help appreciated.

I didn't know the Discovery steering wheel was that large. Although, anything that's smaller than the steering wheel on a Volvo B6, B7 or Mercedes 0405n should be grateful for the size of their car steering wheel.

I've driven Disco's, RRs and Defenders and they all seem a decent enough size. Is the steering column adjustable? I doubt there is a legality in having additions to your wife's feet to reach the pedals...

Guess I'd better shuttup and trundle elsewhere before I get stared at by the mods :o

If Dave is referring to his vehicle in his user-id then it wouldn't be that old with a 300 Tdi in it ;)

the 300tdi wheel is nowhere near as bad as a 200tdi wheel!

With the 300tdi the horn is built into the wheel so an old series or 90 wheel or similar woudnt do the job :S

It's a 97 300tdi. My mate has the 'es' model with an airbag and the steering wheel is much smaller than mine. I suppose the problem I would have is the horn been in the middle. There must be something without going momo style:confused:
If nothing will fit it'll have to be a wheel from an 'es'.
