My lad (13) was taken up in one of these (http://www.raf.mod.uk/equipment/tutorgriffin.cfm) on Saturday for a 20 minute flight.
He was allowed to take the controls (or at least he was given the impression he had :D) over Bridgenorth.
His confidence has gone through the roof and he is well happy (as am I)
Cost to me ............. £2 :biggrin:

Looks a bit more comfortable than the Chipmunks we used to go up in when I was in the ATC.

I was always lucky, being a sortar+e and always got the front seat!!
