Front side lights won't switch off? Disco 300tdi

Having a few problems with the front side lights on me Disco 300tdi, basically they won't turn off and lead to the obvious fun of a flat battery !

The thing that's really confusing me is why it should just be the front lights, and not the back, or one side.

Removing the fuses when parked does solved the problem, for now, but is there something obvious / known that could cause this problem?

Never heard of that one before, I would check the light switch first and the wiring connections at the switch .

That's the plan for the weekend to be honest. I'm also going to check to tow hitch electrics as I think some of them might be damaged after a recent trip out.

I put the meter on the battery last night, with the fuses in, and the voltage loss is quite visable to watch, even taking into account other drains like the alarm and stereo !

Oh the funs of electrics - give me something that requires a big spanner anyday !
