My Disco 2 TD5 is in it's 5th year, 145k on the clock and so far . . . no real problems to write about

But . . . I drive steady, rarely go above 3k revs, always regiously maintain it (eng oil, gearbox etc etc)

So . . . have some faith, we haven't many BRITISH cars left now - be patriotic for gods sake !!!!!!

I understand what you are saying Steve about Patriotism, but at what cost?

The British car industry has disappeared, completely and why? Because we didn't make the cars the world wanted to buy, they were too often rather poor in comparison to the market competitors.

Loads of people go on about French cars being crâp, like Jezzer Clarkson, but do you know how many new cars are produced AND SOLD by Peugeot/ Citroen and Renault? Over 2 million each and every year and not just sold to patriotic French people, they are sold all round the world.

And what does Britain sell all around the world? Insurance, Banking, Investment and other services - MARVELOUS.

What's that phrase - "Don't build your house on sand............"
