I seem to have developed a leak somewhere near the rear of my engine. I had to top up the oil, so I suspect it is an oil leak...
Is this pipe that is attached to the copper pipe on the right correct? Looks like it isn't sitting properly
This is on the intake side, behind the last intake - almost against the firewall....

I'm not sure about that pipe, but a very common fault on the TD5 is a leak from the fuel pressure regulator, at the rear of the block. This would be a diesel leak - have you smelt the leaked fluid to see if it is diesel or oil?
If it is the fuel pressure regulator, best to sort it sooner rather than later - I let mine go on for a while and the dripping diesel killed the starter motor :(

fuel block, needs replacing asap. you will find all sorts of problems soon.
dont cheap out on this part. britpart ones fail within 5k miles so get genuine LR and it will last the rest of the life of the vehical as they have modified the block.

Common problem if it's the fuel reg. have a look at this link. http://www.discovery2.co.uk/Fpr.html

Thanks.
It is certainly leaking onto the starter motor so I am pretty sure it is the FPR.
Damn, they are expensive!!!
Anyone ever tried replacing the O rings as in the attached link?

dont cheap out. you will only get more problems. just buy a LR fuel block and be done with it. should only be £75 (gbp)
