Hi,

When the summer comes, I would like to get under the Disco and coat it in something to protect it.

A friend suggested coating it with engine oil. I must admit, every now and again I like to use an automatic car wash (I know, sorry!).

Can anyone recommend a way for me to be able to treat the vehicle, but still be able to use the car-wash?

I read in the Landy mags about a treatment service called before-n-After (http://www.before-n-after.co.uk/), but it's a bit pricey.

Cheers,

Chris.

waxoil it ,that wont come off with the car wash thingy, its a bit of a messy job but well worth it ,you need to warm the oil up before applying it,either in a tub of hot water or similar, you will meed a method of application, waxoil do there own one,you can also use a spray gun that will work off a compressor (if you have one) .

Make sure you cover all your skin up as it will get on it ,also dont do as i done and do it when there is a bit of a wind blowing ,covering the wifes brand new car's bonett in sticky waxoil:eek: ,i was not flavour of the month;).

Make sure the underside is bone dry before applying too, otherwise you'll trap in all the moisture and accelerate the rot.
