I have a 2002 Discovery II. Recently vehicle stopped running during warmup. Would not restart no cranking. Garage replaced starter and vehcile starts and runs correctly.
Now Radio, Seat Heaters, Wipers front and rear are not operating. Indications is that they are not getting power. I have checked and/ or replaced fuseable links 5,7,8,and 10 with no result. All fuses have been checked and appear to be working. Any ideas on problem and repair?

Have you any luck with this as I have the same problem with a 2001 model. I hope you can help as it is driving me nuts. Thanks

I'll have to set our A3 laser printer up and print out the schematics, it's screwing my eyeballs trying to follow it on-screen across 5 pages!

Also, just looking at the pages, have you checked to see if you have an earth connection gone fuzzy? The Disco is covered in them, and in doing the starter, there may have been something disturbed in the way of an earth connection.

The ICE amplifier and seat heaters share a common earth header 0708 (K108)
Just looking for the wipers -
Rear wipers go to earth header 0706 (K108)
Front wipers go to earth header 0288 (K109) and then to 0017 (K108)
So K108 holds a common earth position for those devices, I'll look at the +VE feeds if nobody has come up with a solution yet.
There are 127 pages of schematics.....

Here's the location plan for earth points and earth headers. This is for the Disco2.

Thanks for that. I have checked 0017, 0706 and also 0288, which is situated on the passenger side behind the facia, and they all seem very clean and tight. I haven't tried 0708 as it is under the centre console and will take a liittle time to take off. Thanks again for your time and will let you know what I find. Fingers crossed.

Let me know how it goes, the Disco 2 is a very comprehensively wired vehicle, but the manual seems to have all the information needed.
I got mine from fleabay for a fiver on CD, worth every penny!

Finally found the problem, loose wire under the Engine compartment Fuse Box. Found it by chance by wriggling some wires out of frustration. There is a small header with 2 wires, a white and a black situiated at the right side of box. Black wire very loose.

Hey Peter, what is the name of this manual? IŽll have to look for it since it looks like a great source of info to have in hand. I used to have a workshop manual that Peter Cowin sent me a couple of years ago that was great (really nice gesture of him of sending me a copy), but it got lost on a PC repair thing. :(:(:(
