Hi All,
I think my battery is going in my key, simple reason being when I press the button the car does not unlock (lucky for me I carry my spare), so how do I go about getting the battery changed, is it something I can do my-self or do Land Rover have to do it? if I can do it my-self then how do I re-code the key after I have changed the battery.
Thanks very much.

If it's the 2 button remote on a 300 TDi Disco 1, then you can change the battery yourself. Once the battery has been changed you need to press either the lock, or unlock button 3 times and it will automatically re-sync. I know this for a fact because I had to do it a month ago! Any other type of fob/model I'm not 100% certain so can't comment on!
The battery is either a CR2016 or a CR2025. (Can't quite remember!)
Good luck!

Rik,
Thanks for that Rick, I will get the battery changed tonight, my Disco is a 98 4ltr v8 petrol, but the fob is a 2 button remote control so it should be the same procedure for changing the battery.
Thanks again.
