Hi all.
im after a diesel engine, preferably a 2.25 that has come out of a series vehicle for me to take to pieces and rebuild (even though im only a beginner on landys). So someone must have a spare engine knocking about there garage. Should preferably be based somewhere near basingstoke or sheffield.
Please help!! I keep missing the diesel engines when they come up for sale!!! It doesnt matter about what condition its in (pref with cylinder head) and it doesnt matter about the ancilliaries.
thanks in advance,
john

I get asked this most weeks as people want the look of a winch but dont need one or cant afford one.
I am stopping selling winches and going back to my proper job in the next few weeks, but I have allready ran the stock down.
Have a word with Phil at PG Winches.
Bear in mind even broken winches have a value as caseings and drums are very expensive.

I have a diesel engine that I was going to restore. It is an early series (2 I think) as the clutch pressure plate is fitted to bolts that come through the flywheel, unlike the later engine which has studs in the flywheel. The engine is complete, except for having the push rods removed and has the cav pump. So in theory you should be able to just fit the push rods, pump, and a clutch and put it in. Buuutttt, it did stand in Ray's front garden under a tarp for a year or so, which is why I was going to strip and rebuild. Realistically the diesels will put up with a lot of neglect, as they are full of oil, both fuel and lubricant.
What I am offered (£'ss preferably) to give up this fruitfull task???:band:

Hi Johnboy,
Make it £50.00 and it is all yours, I can then afford that nice new bumper I always wanted, plus a few other bits. Give me a call on 0121-628-1847 after 6, after the weekend.
Regards
Dan
I would send a pm or email but I think I broke the website trying to upload a picture of an 850 mini. Powerful little cars you know!!
