Was looking at doing my own 60K service and want to change the gearbox oil in the Jatco auto box. I know it is speacial oil and have contacted the local Land Rover dealers but they only sell it in 1 ltr bottles at nearly £10 a litre
Can any one tell me a mail order site I can get this liquid gold or buy in bulk in Norfolk. I have tried a number of Motor factors and no one seems to be able to get the correct oil.
Thanks,

Does it really need changing at 60k?
What does the service sheet say?

Hi
Yes the service sheet says at 60K and 120K and the three indipendants and main dealers all say at 60K. So thought I would do it if I can find the oil. !!!

Thanks for the link but they show Castrol DIII and Dexon 3 both of which is the wrong oil for the Jatco box. It seems that the Jatco box can only use the one oil or it fails much quiker than it should.
LR and Jatco recommend FRN402 or Texaco N402. Both are like hens teeth to buy unless you go the LR who again only seem to sell it by the litre bottle over the parts counter at around £10 a litre.
Still if needs must then it has to be. No wonder a 60K service at LR is around £400
