The abs tc and hdc lights are lit on dads freelander i have checked the faults and it requires a front left abs sensor. I priced one up at work and with discount i can get a genuine one for £154+ vat or a delco one for £146+vat or a brit part one for £118+vat. Obviously i dont want the britpart one for known reasons, but which one should i go for or has anyone got one elsewhere for less that isnt a britpart one.Its a pre 01 on a "W". Any help appreciated cheers. Lawson

All the Border ABS sensors I've ever bought have been genuine Wabco,so no problems.Other than that its running the gauntlet of Flea bay.Have you scoped the sensor ?

hi i also have the abs, tc, and hill decent lights on. mine's is also a 2000 1.8 is there any chance you can tell me what you done to find out it was your front left abs sensor that needed replaced as ive been told lots of different things it could be (i'e something on my brake pedal or the lambada sensor and a abs sensor) so any help you could give will be very much appreciated thanks very much... pdoc

hi thanks for reply. if i take it to a garage and get them to plug it in. should it give me a read out of all the things that's causing me problems in one go. even if it is more than one thing causing it. or will it just give me one problem at a time starting with worst. get that fixed then have to be plugged in again to read next problem. sorry if this is daft thing to ask. its just i dont know how the diagnostics thing works. and my local lrd charges 85 pound a time to plug it in. thanks for taken the time to help. cheers pdoc

If you take it down and say what lights are on they will check the faults in the ABS module it may have 1 fault it might have 5 faults(unlikely) but it does show all stored faults each time you go in. The exact fault i had was
"LHF wheel speed sensor open circuit". But it could be anything.Hope this helps.
