Morning all,
My Disco's getting very hard to select gears, especially at low speeds - i.e manouevering / setting off - almost feels like it's hitting the bulkhead rather than the gate!
This is about the third time this has happened...
1st time the garage said it was the springs on the selector, fixed that and all was ok for a while.
2nd time, the hydraulic reservoir was empty - no sign of external leakage.
The garage said it was either the master or slave cylinder, replaced them.
Looking at the rez this time, level is fine.
Talking to a more knowlegable landy owning mate of mine, he says that Disco's often have "crunchy" boxes, and that the standard box oil can be replaced with an upgraded one, which I'll do shortly.
Seems a little more than "crunchy" to me tho...
I'm also thinking there may be air in the hydralics - thinking of bleeding.
Would this account for this problem?
Any advice much apreciated!
