Living with the JCB tough Phone
The phone is a pretty basic model, lacking a camera and some of the more snazzy features of a top end phone. However coming in at around £100 with a three year, no quibble, manufacturers warranty it will probably out last any handset you currently have.
The ringer volume has a good range from silent to deafening and will be heard above even the most vocal series diesel engine. The built in speaker volume makes telephone conversations in a noisy environment a breeze and you will not struggle to hear the person on the other end.

The screen is scratch resistant and seems to fair well in a harsh environment remaining clear and bright. The screen is a lot smaller than some handsets but this does not seem to cause any problems. There is no camera which may be a problem for some, but ultimately there is one less thing to break.
The Battery life is exceptional, and will easily last three or four days on standby by without a charge. Manufacturers quoted battery life is often misleading, however the JCB Toughphone is a sure performer.
I guess to finish off, if you want a phone to use in harsh work/play environments and are not bothered by all the fancy features of the high end models this is the phone for you.
