clutch??

hi there,, im having a problem with my gears, they wont go in properly its a fight to get them in, they go in when the car is turned on but i have to fight them in when the engine is running,,??? there is no noises or leaks just difficulty in the gears!! any help would be appreciated.. xx

how about ,when stationery ,engine running ,if you pump the clutch , say ,5 times quickly , does it go into 1st any easier ?
does the clutch feel any different to how it was before this problem ?
has the vehicle been left standing for a while ?

mines a disco 1 and had a similar problem a while back. can u still get gears etc?? mine went gradually and fluid started to leak from round the bell housing, turned out to be the slave cylinder, about tenner and about an hour but it does have copper tubes and nuts to it - they can take a day to fiddle around with if they don't go in first time!!! and plenty of swearing i found helped!!

prob worth changing for a tenner just to see???

As said look for oil comng out of the breather on bellhousing. Advice, if yuo change this cylinder when you take it out make sure you do not pull the rod out with the cylinder!!!
