Hi, just finished removing rust and painting the famous rot traps on the rear arches of my disco 1. Went for a spin anout 15 mins and my nice new paintwork is covered in crap. Is there anything that can be used to stop dirt getting into this area when the door is closed ie a better seal between door and arch?
thanks

if dirts getting in then either the door requires adjustment or the seal needs replacing, that is presuming there's no holes letting the dirt in? Dave

Hi, there was thankfully no holes! The dirt just tracks against where the seal meets the arch and leaves a big line of dirt that always seems to be full of stones along the same arc as the seal. is there anyway to stop this happening?
thanks

Unfortunately only regular cleaning will sort it, as it is the outside edge and road muck gets thrown up into it.
