As every one will know i purchased a disco 2 es premium on a 53/04 plate with 44k miles on from james edward brock in lancashire
Had a few little problems latest being tracking being out by a mile.
Just worried now if anything else could go wrong warranty runs out end november.
Was thinking about selling it and buying a defender less electrics to go wrong.
I keep looking at defenders been offered about 8500k for mine in part ex.As it has done 48k and in mint condition.
Going tomoz to hillindale to look
Don't do it ......... You'll regret it.
If it's an everyday driver you'll lose the comfort etc., Nowhere to put your elbow......
(NOT knocking Defenders, but at 6'5", and 18 stone ...:o )

I know just worried once the warranty runs out i will have to start spending as there is loads of electrics to go wrong less on defenders
If it was a P38 Rangie......... (Ducks swiftly) .........I could understand.
Are you planning a long distance trip, you could always buy a Nanocom?
I can understand your reluctance, life's a compromise, comforts vs. simplicity.
I loved the simplicity of a Disco 1 but needed an auto, I couldn't find one that I felt confident would give me 30000 hassle free miles a year so went for the "silicon sister". I'm still in the honeymoon phase.

I've had my TD5 for over a year now. It's year 2000 with 125K and little service history. After I got it, I was in a panic about all the things that were about to fail. I have to say that so far it's been fine. A few stupid things to fix but it's proving pretty reliable.
I hired a TD5 Defender to pick up a boat before I got the Discovery and I have to say that personally I wasn't impressed. Compared to the Disco it was cramped and lacking in comfort. It was a cracking work vehicle but would not cut it as a family car for me. The TD5 Disco ticks all the boxes, air con, power fold heated mirrors, heated seats, heated screen, curry hook :D. Yours sounds very nice also.
Cheers
Andy
