hi i'm new to this site had a 200 for about 2 years now upgraded to a 300 n reg and interior light not working when i open any door even boot. It works if i switch it on at the light so there's power there but when i take the light out and put a tester on the connections at the back one the live feed side there's power but when i put it on the earth connector i have also got some power but not full power don't know how many volts at the moment only tested it with a screwdriver tester not multimeter couldn't find it when you need it must have put it in that safe place we all have one don't we but anyway when on + light bright when on - still lights but only sort of half power but shouldn't light at all should it so i was wondering if there's a relay at fault and could anyone inform me where to find it or any help would be nice thank you allan ps hope you can get what i'm going on about

Could be just dirty switches? open the door and give them a 'wiggle'

tried that looking into it further i think it could be something to do with aftermarket alarm thats fitted cos there's a little L E D light fitted in dash and when you open door that comes on so they must be connected to pin switches on door thats why i was wondering if there's a relay and where it is cheers anyway ps first 300 i've had owned a 200 for last 2 years with no problems exept had to do water pump this one i've only had a couple of weeks so still got minor teething problems but i'll get it sorted
