trip from southampton to Alicante

i am planning a trip down to alicante in spain and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice as to the scenic route

Hi i went last year from portsmouth - carn had a great time the crossing was fairly quick, got through france stoping at the occasional air's these are filling stations that are just great you can even camp in them they also have showers restraunts picnic area's quite impressed down to the perrenian mountians it was snowing quite hard when i was passing through but no dramers then over the border to spain and took the coastal road down to marbaia then up to rhonda thats worth a visit stayed there for a week loads of dirt tracks in and around the hills you can pitch up anywhere i never encounterd any problems. then of to cadiz lovely beaches everyone so friendly,then down to gibraltar which was only about 30km away i had a great trip took my time i think it took me 3months but a well chilled out trip loads to see
