Ive just bought my first landrover, a series 2a 109 diesal off ebay. It dates to 1965. Ive had about 3-4 years experiance with series landys as my grandad owns a 109 ex mod series 3 and my great uncle used to own an 88 series 3.

Im restoring my landy to mot standard not really worrying about the cosmetics yet as i am planning on using it in june for transporting my stationary engine to the 1000 engine rally which works out as a 500 mile round trip. After this i may give it a little attention cosmetically but as my great uncle said it adds to the character and is part of owning a classic landrover.

I look forward to getting to know you all better and learning from everyones experiance and knowledge.
