Help Please the system has been fine for the past 12 months then all of a sudden started to faulter on gas and died at junction, switched to petrol with a few backfires and managed to get home, runs fine on petrol.
All new ignition parts batt leads dizzy cap etc, checked for air leaks and loose wires nothing!
struggling to fix it, on start up runs fine on petrol, rev to 1700 rpm switches over to gas fine, rev to get rid of any petrol in the system runs and idles on gas for about 10 - 30 seconds then starts to faulter and dies.
Any one had the same or similar problems
all help appreciated.
Just took the flapper thingy off the air intake behind the ecu see pic and noticed that when in situ it stays open about 7mm, is this damage from the backfire should it be fully closed on start up?
Cheers Andy
System is a Landi Renzo

Looking at this, was it a second hand system you fitted? If so, when was the last time you changed the gas filter(s)?
