Hi Folks,
My 2001 Disco TD5 Auto ran out of fuel on small single track bridge on the work the other day, the first veichel along was a massive tractor towing a equally massive thing behind...the driver was cool and we had a chat about the government while my wife brought 3 gallons of fuel, however the fuel did not do the trick....it wouldnt start even with the 6 x priming sequence.. I have had a new lift pump...new starter motor..new filters..new crank sensor and a load of other stuff...any way I was writing to tell you how it started......turn the ignitiion on press the peddal 5 times in about 5 seconds and leave the ignition on for 3 mins...this primmed the system..ther was a blinking engine warning light while it was going on, it started and is running fine...just ran out of fuel and had air locks...hope this works for you..cheerrs
