This dual [high/low] switch- should it be normally open or closed.

Mine is open circuit- and the A/C does not work.

Should be closed to create a circuit to the compressor clutch - open circuit at an educated guess ( I,m an A/C engineer ;) ) means youve probably lost the gas

Thanks Scott. Take me one step further.

Would you suggest a simple re-gas.

Our local Accessory shop does a gas top up for £20. It has a leak inhibiter in it too. It made a big difference last year when we went to France

Depends if you want it to work or do you want it fixed ? I,d recommend a pressure test and leak test first before a recharge

I wouldn't admit to that!!:eek::D
WHY ???

WHY ???

Just Joking:D We work with Refrigeration Engineers and while many of them are really clever and smart guys, some of them are......not!:rolleyes::D Who do you work for? We deal a lot with M&S, Asda,and a few other smaller companies, Booths etc.

We have a really good guy who works for us. He was a commissioning engineer for about 30 years! What he doesn't know ..etc.! He is very derogatory about some of the engineers but I think he forgets that it has taken him that time to build up a store of knowledge! You can only gain experience through experiencing it!! But if he is in a good mood, he will sometimes help them out! As we deal with some national companies, sometimes the contracts are with regional companies, and some of them are really good. But I don't think you do M&S or Asda, do you? Perhaps you should try for the contract up your way! M&S seem willing to try "new blood"!

Hold up guys! How come all the A/C experts are in Scotland?

I'm in south London, a lot nearer to the equator.

We are all frying here- and no experts!
