I have a Discovery TD5 2001 with manual transmission.
Several questions:
Is there a way to install a coolant level indicator like the one in the Range Rover classic?
The sound deadening material on the bulkhead (i.e. the partition between the engine and the passenger compartment) was damaged by a sloppy mechanic is there a way to fix it? It is partly torn.
What kind of radiator is recommended the one made completely of aluminium or the one the factory fit?
The R380 gearbox was rebuilt by LR garage but there seems to be a “wail” in fifth gear at speed above 50 mph. What may cause this?
There are some “cosmetic” things I want to put right as the previous owner did not take very good care of the car.
The upholstery needs some repairs especially the vinyl needs replacing. Where can I purchase material? I may need fabric as well.
The carpet between front and rear seat needs to be replaced as it has some bald patches.
One or two of the interior plastic panels at the back and one of the door capping calls for replacement. Is it possible to find new ones at a reasonable price or is there some place I can buy used panels?
I am based in two places Northop Wilshire and overseas (the car is overseas).
Any help and advise will be deeply appreciated.
