Hi, think it likely you will get better help if you describe more accurately the symptoms.
It would seem the initial problem has changed- yes?
The hazards now work OK?
Describe the symbol on dash.
Describe the warning sound.
Will the doors lock using the facia swith?

hi mosdisco the symtoms did change the hazzards now work the sound was the same sound as when u leave ur lights on and door open. the symbol was a flashing a square in the odmeter box next to the didgets thats stopped flashing now and exstinguished. The doors will open fom the facia switch only with the ignition on. also when i try to open with the key fob the hazzards dont flash but the interior lights come on as normal hope i made it more clearer best regards john

Help on this please!
The 'symbol' - I think- is the red LED alarm status light, directly to the left of the odometer.
It would seem that your central locking does work, close and open, but I gather only with ignition on. Right?
Try to put together a clear picture of exactly what that LED does and when.
How many times does the sounder chime- and exactly when
