if its coded and you discconnect the power supply you most likely will have to put the code in...you could always put a tempory 12 volt supply to it before you disconnect?? good luck ;)

hi yes...a pair of jump leads and a spare battery or one of those all in one
start and charge things...you only need 12 volts to keep the memory powered in the cd...good luck and make sure they dont jump off when swapping around...

Oh i see i have a jumper thingy, put the leads on the red/black leads sort of behind the connectors to the battery, disconnect old battery, with the charger still on, new battery on tighting up, leads to charger off. Never though of that.
Thanks once again.

An aftermarket headunit will probably not need a code anyway. The Pioneer one in mine certainly doesn't. Normally only manufacturers own radios that need a code, your pioneer one probably has a removable front face instead.

i have 3 aftermarket head units and they all require a code, two of them have removable fronts as well..its usually cheaper head units that do not..

Right, well if i take a chance i dont know the code have no idea how to get it i suppose i will have to call LR Great!!!, mine is a face off quite new only been out a year, when the guys wired it up they did need the code so im thinking as it still uses the harmon kardon amp it will need the code
