Anyone know where I can look for one of these? apart from Ebay. what sort of vehicles have em fitted and what would I pay down the scrap yard? I was hoping to fit one this summer ready for the winter. Cheers for the help

Try VW magazines. They were fitted to some Type 181 Volkwagens. Also were a popular aftermarket item for campers.

Webasto made a 12 volter for Ambulances, since all ambulances are fitted with them ever thought of trying a breakers yard for one? spares readily available from Webasto.

Bt vans had them as well, You might pick up a cheap van at auction

Best source for 12v diesel Eberspachers is the BT work vans, for petrol its VW campers. The BT one is the Eberspacher D1LC model (I got a manual for it on CD if you need one), a company in Sunderland (R Thursby Auto Electrics) are Eberspacher agents and do a check/overhaul service if you get a used one.
I bought a D1LC a couple of months ago for £100 but this is very cheap - still haven't fitted it though!
