1996 land rover discovery V8. So my alarm cannot be turned off. I disconnected the battery and when i reconnected it the alarm sounded and can't be turned off. I disconnected the horns to stop the sounding. The car also intermittently cuts out while driving and catches back on again. I thought the problems were related to the "spider box" i tore my dash apart and there was no spider! I found an alternate box by the passenger foot compartment. I took it out and examined it, all solder joints looking fine. I re-soldered several just to be sure, put it back in and reconnected the battery. still no luck. Alarm is still going off. I have no fob and my doors have faulty locks so no turning it off that way. I live on an island with no rover dealers to help. Any help/ideas would be much appreciated. If anyone knows how to disconnect the alarm and allow me to start my car I would be very stoked! Thanks for looking.
