We have 19" RR wheels on our Disco2, and they are going on Fleabay at the first opportunity, mainly as the tyres are low profile and not really suitable for what we want to use the vehicle for, they are too hard over bumps and are bl**dy expensive to replace!

Looking through the adverts, there seems to be all sorts of possibilities, but mention of adaptor plates and fitting rings suggests that there is not a common stud PCD, or there is not a common centre ring location diameter between the wheels on the various LR models.

So, what wheels will fit which vehicles?

We want a set of 5 alloys of 8J-16 size for a Disco 2. What is there out there?

What sort of tyres are you looking for ? I have a set of OE Landrover Disco II 16" Alloy Rims fitted with 235x70x16 BFG MT's. Four are part worn and one is brand new (the unused spare). I'm trying to decide whether to sell these or not as I haven't swapped them over for a while and they are taking up space in the garage. Regards Phil.

That's the sort of thing, but there is more than one wheel style available, can you post a picture ?

Are they 8J rim width?

Thanks,

Peter

Peter, they are 16" Discovery II Meteor Rims - original equipment on DII's. I'll try to post a picture tomorrow. I have two sets, one with BFG MT's and one with BFG AT's which I run day to day. My parts manual says they are part number RRC115070MNH 7.0x16 Silver Sparkle Meteor. So it seems they are not 8J but looking at the parts manual half the OE 16" wheels are 7.0's and half are 8J. All the 18" OE rims were 8J. - Phil.

Thanks, Phil, we would prefer 8J if at all possible, but let's see the picture(s) first so we can make a decision.

Thanks for your trouble,

Peter
