Hi recently had a numpty destroy the front end of my Disco 11 drivers side. Has anyone on here know if the parts are that difficult to get hold of , as I have been told that there is a lot of the stuff like front panel bumper ,valance etc., are all on back order. Is this usual for Landrover to have this kind of availibility, I know the Disco is old, '51 plate TD5 this should not happen and I don,t want to loose it, cause you know how ins works, as I have a replacement Disco tdv6 on hire the third party is paying but that doesn,t last forever.
Has anyone had a similar tale please?

Hi,we had a front ender in June last year, cost to the insurance comp £3600,took aprox 4 weeks for the repair and all parts did seem to come from a Land rover dealer.Td5 Adventurer. The insurance company tried to say it was beyound econical repair, but we told them we wanted it repaired,so they did.Cheers, wishing you luck with yours.:)

It dont look too bad,but I bet it will still cost a bit in parts. Today I`ve had somebody try and park in front of the Disco and deeply gouged the offside of the front bumper, didnt stop and drove off.Exactly outside my house.Luckily somebody got the reg and Ive been down to see the Old Bill tonight.:(

I was involved in a similar accident. luckily the only damage to my car was indicator, headlamp and Bumper. this happened about 3 months ago and it took about 2 weeks to fix. whilst my car was in the shop i got a Range Rover TDV8 to play with!!! was horrified that it's drinking habit was as bad as My Petrol V8!!!!!!!!!!

How horrible, snap on discos though- we got a Td5 Adventurer the same colour ours is ex dealer demonstrator though so it has a few extra toys!
Such a shame to mess up such a fantastic vehicle!

Hire company told me today that they have rebooked the TDVS I have for another week , thats three now.

Having had the new Disco for a while now but not done many miles it handles a lot worse than the TD5 but has lots of power, just not agricultural enough for me!

Finally got my disco back all very nice looking but done in a hurry, as it was ponted out by a panel beater/ sprayer, but really can,t be bothered with the hassle complaining as I did sign a receipt, will complain to ins.
