As per title,
Just bought a 2nd hand safari snorkel, which I want to fit to my '94 300 tdi.
Of course, I dont have the mounting template that is supplied with a new one.....anyone manage to scan/copy one, that they could send me?.....or point me to one allready on the web?
Cheers

I didnt bother with one,it has to line up with the hole in the inner wing

but WHERE in the inner wing do I make this hole?
I guess I could hold up the snorkel in place & whack it a bit (lightly) to try to make marks on the paintwork where the six bolts go, but there has to be an easier solution?....or am I just being thick? (Woudlnt be the 1st time!)

Look at the inner wing,in beside the airbox. The circle is stepped out.Quite noticeable

I'll take another look tonight, but I was fairly sure there was no marks/raised bits/steped panels....
actually, it may not be tonight, my winch that was working fine on Sunday, let me down lastnight when I needed it:Cross: , so I'll be looking into that 1st :( It appears to be getting no power, either wireless remote or hardwired control, so it MUSt be something simple :Idunno:

I have my template (I should have at least) after fitting my snorkel, it is for Disco 1997 so it should fit. Will look for it on Saturtday/Sunday, if I find it I can measure it and post some drawings/photos here.

Here are the links and also I'm attaching these pictures here for reference.
I would suggest using pictures from links because I scanned the template (at 200dpi on A4 scanner), so if you print those at the same dpi you should be able to stick together a template from printouts without any modifications required (to be sure measure some units, you should get similar numbers).
Photo contains measurements, but I have no clue what size it will be when printed at the same dpi, probably something very small, and the angle also would be wrong.
If you are planning to do a template yourself - there are measurements, all units are in mm (millimeters).

Cheers guys....with a bit of guestimation, squinting, some numbers taken off of Martini etc...its now fitted....
I started with cutting a hole in the inner wing.which is NOT in the same place as a 200tdi (The raised section).....see pic
Then kinda guestimated a whole on the outter wing, then with a few offerings-up & a few attempts at shaping the hole witha borrowed air-hacksaw, I managed to get it fitted. :)
Now I have somewhere to run the cables for the roof lights, the roof bar can be fitted! :)
