disco diff

I have blew the back diff on my 98 300tdi, i took it out today and it has fell apart inside lol, lots of circlips and gears lying everywhere.

I was told a front diff from a 300tdi would fit as i have already changed the rubber donut for a 200tdi propshaft, so would it just be as case of sticking it in as long as it a 24spline? and i can get a front diff no probs.

No probs as long as same splines (10or 24)

Cheers, know of anywhere that does recon units cheaply? i think id rather just put a recon unit in
