Hello, we just came home this afternoon in our series II discovery and as we got out of the car it started to make a strange metallic clicking noise and we realised the whole passenger side of the car was going up!
Now it seems to be stuck like that.
Does anyone know what has happened and is there anything we can do to fix it ourselves.
Thanks Sara:sobbing:

It sounds like the rear suspension ride height sensor might be at fault causing the system to inflate the air bag more than needed?
I understand that replacing the sensor is fairly easy.......although the Haynes manual states that the new sensor(s) will need to be re-calibrated using LR diagnostic tools so you might have to get it done at a specialist.
Might be worth doing a search on ride height sensor to see if there's anything similar listed from previous posts?
Cheers for now

Yeah I would agree its the ride sensor .
May be faulty but you could try a checking the connection on the top . It seems to accumulate a lot of muck and debris because of its position . give it a good clean out , you never know your luck. You will be able to see it clear as day with the raised spring.
One thing , wouldnt drive it in that state . I beleive they have a habit of exploding when this happens.

Yes, sounds like the sensor. Had the same problem ( and a shortly after a faulty compressor). Replace the sensor, which is very easy. Then recalibrate the sensor height. There might be somebody near you with a nanocom.
Good luck
