The sensor I am asking to be identified can be seen in it's own piece of metal pipe in the rubber inlet hose from intercooler to manifold on the front of the engine on left (looking at the engine) opposite to the EGR. It wasn't there on the earlier TD4 which ahd a single peice hose.
Thanks
Allan

I've read somewhere that this is the new location for 'Boost Pressure' sensor having been relocated from the lower part of the inlet manifold where it tended to become contaminated.

I thought the same initially but it's the (inlet air temperature) IAT sensor that was previously combined with the MAF. Being fitted after the intercooler makes more sense.
