Its unlikely that the outer O ring is leaking, usually it is the seal on the actual bearing itself that leaks - new bearing time.

This happened to mine and I think it's very common. A good way to check is to take out the abs sensor and if you can see oil in the hole then the inner hub seal has gone. I think you have to remove the brake disc to get at the sensor.

If you rub your finger on the back of the brake disc is it oily? Another god sign.

I thought mine was a leaking caliper. I replaced that before the penny dropped.

I bought a 2nd hand hub with the half shft still attached to fix mine. It was an easy fix and way cheaper than a new hub, which I figured the next owner would get the benefit of. Some 2nd hand hubs on ebay at the minute.

Cheers

Andy

Please Help Just for the record, the O ring is not difficult to change and I have changed one, it just means removing the hub. The hub is a sealed unit so if its the hub thats leaking through the internal oil seals it means a replacement unit. A new hub is £189 +vat from paddock spares, or you can go for the second hand option, hope this helps.

When I put on my 2nd hand hub and half shaft, I ordered up a new o ring and stuck it on for good measure.
