Hi all,
The air springs have been removed from my Disco 2 and replaced with coils.
I keep hearing a clicking sound coming from the air springs control box / air compressor (?) under the left hand side of the vehicle when the car is not running?
I think its a relay or solenoid in that box???
Im worried if I dont drive the car for a few days, this may affect my battery charge.
Can someone tell me how I can disable this box? I didnt see a fuse specifically for this unit in the fuse panel?
Thanks

I think that you need to disable the air suspension in the Body Control ECU, it seems to be trying to run the suspension still.

Well it was a slightly tongue in cheek response (although I sort of thought poster had inherited this conversion and may be open to that as a solution ;) ) .
I know there is a big following from the replace air with coils route whereas my own personal preference is the opposite. Unless I was considering an extreme lift , I think Air offers more comfort and ride quality on *and* more functionality off road , more than compensating for well documented maintenance and other negatives ...
and dont laugh .. its the only thing that allows me to get my Discovery with Roof bars into a certain local multi storey car park under there height barriers :D

Gents,
Thankyou all for your advice. Having never experienced air springs I cannot comment on the pro's and cons, however I am very happy with the performance the coils are providing.
As per listerdiesels response I believe the best solution for me would be to take it to a Land Rover service centre and disable the settings in the ECU. That procedure will cost me about $40 australian.
cheers!
